The Thermo Folio sheet is laid on the same day the cement layer is poured. You spread the vapour barrier, lay the sheet, and the cement and the tiles or stone slabs go on top. No pipes and no plumbing work.
The vapour barrier stops damp getting into the floor in the months without heating and makes the heat arrive sooner.
Under wood or laminate flooring you do not need cement. You spread the insulating base, unroll the Thermo Folio sheet and lay the flooring on top.

Yes: under wooden flooring or laminate, and also under 2 or 3 cm of cement screed finished with porcelain stoneware, terrazzo and similar. Further up, in “How to install it”, you have both methods explained step by step with a drawing. And remember: if any layer has an aluminium face, the aluminium must never face the thermal film.
Not plumbing: there are no pipes, no boiler and no tanks. What you do need is the electrical pre-installation: a separate circuit with its own circuit breaker and residual-current device, and the cable from the ceiling to the thermostat box, which is placed 130 cm above the floor. This is signed off by the electrician, who has the final say.
You measure the usable floor area of the room, multiply it by 0.80 and round down to the model that fits. A 10.9 m² room gives 8.72 m² of film: TF-08. No film is laid under kitchen units (leave 80 cm there), islands, bath, shower or built-in wardrobes: these are deducted first.
Up to about 36 m² a single zone with one thermostat is used. From 36-37 m² upwards, two zones are made, each with its own thermostat, divided according to the layout of the home: they can be two of 18 m², or one of 12 and one of 14.
120 W per m² of film, the same in all models: a TF-12 is 1,440 W. And as the thermostat is WiFi, you heat only the room you use and at the time you use it, which is where the real saving is. In the calculator you can see your case with your own square metres.
Yes. You can walk on the film while it is being installed, taking care not to trip. It folds like a sheet of paper to go back, and never more than two layers are laid.
The film is sealed and withstands a lot of humidity. If the flat is flooded, the film circuit is cut off until the floor is completely dry, and then it works again. As a rule, underfloor heating must be protected by a separate residual-current device.
Yes. We carry out the installation with the vapour barrier, the thermostat and all accessories, and from 90 m² it is included at the website price, anywhere in Spain and Portugal. For commercial premises or large homes, ask us for a quote.
The film comes with a lifetime warranty and the thermostat with 3 years, and the terms reach you in writing with your order: you know from day one what we commit to. And if you change your mind, you have 90 days to return it and we refund the amount; we only ask that it comes back unopened and in its box, as it left the factory, so that someone else can enjoy it new. This is in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal, which you always have.
